The confidence index

Make a comment on this indicator

Methodology:

The Board of Trade’s member confidence index measures the level of confidence of Board of Trade member companies on a scale of 1 to 5.

The index is based on the answers to a four-question survey that we conduct quarterly (during the first week of March, June, September, and December) among Board of Trade members.

The answers are then weighted to take the composition of the Board of Trade’s membership into account.

With this graph, you also have the option of viewing each survey question individually to see the degree of member confidence related to each one.
