The quarterly data provided by
the Conference Board of Canada is seasonally adjusted and therefore
eliminates the impact of seasonal fluctuations on the changes
observed, thus making it possible to compare the data throughout
the year.
This data is also annualized by multiplying the values by 4, which
allows quarterly performance to be assessed on an annual
basis.
